The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic, fraternal organization. Begun in 1882 in New Haven, Conn. by Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, the Order now has over 1.8 million members and 14,000 councils in more than 10 countries.

The Order and its members are known for their charitable giving.
